Rondar Raceboats Rondar Raceboats were appointed the class builder for the Viper 640 in late 2005. Rondar has been in business making racing sailboats continuously since 1965. Paul Young has been President of Rondar since 1991. Rondar has earned a reputation as a pre-eminent builder of fast one-design race boats. Rondar hulls have won World championships in numerous classes including the Contender, the 420, the Fireball, the Enterprise and most notably the highly competitive 5-0-5 class. The recent victory of Jan Saugman and Morton Ramsbaeck in Adelaide means that eight out of the last ten 5-0-5 world championships have been won in a Rondar hull. Rondar's team of engineers, riggers and craftsmen have prepared boats for Olympic medalists and local club champions. Their reputation for quality and technical expertise is second to none and we could not be more pleased with their work as our class builder. Rondar are based near Devizes in the county of Wiltshire, United Kingdom and produce between 200 and 250 boats a year.
