The Marblehead Racing Association (MRA) coordinates One Design Racing in Marblehead.  Racing is scheduled every weekend for nine local classes from May to September each year. The Viper Class races on the Midway line at 12.30 pm on Saturdays.

The MRA racing program is run by the Race Committees of the Eastern YC, the Corinthian YC and the Boston YC. The Race Committees work is first class and the standard of racing is high. The Viper courses usually consist of 1 mile windward leeward legs with an offset at the windward mark. We typically get in 3 races with 4 legs each. Lighter conditions would lead to shorter courses and windier conditions to more legs.  

The dues for MRA include the season's racing, several social events and the entry fee for Marblehead Race Week. A boat can enter for an individual days racing by registering with the MRA secretary and paying a modest one-day fee.
